How can it almost be the end of January already? As Spring emerges and we venture into 2024, I’m really delighted to be able to share some more information with you about upcoming Holy Ground retreats for Spring 2024.
We’re kicking off on Saturday 2nd March with an in-person retreat at Worcester Park Baptist Church. Here, we’ll be reflecting on what it means for each of us to be God’s Beloved and the ways in which we might be agents of Divine Love in a troubled world.
On Wednesday 13th March, we’ll be gathering online – via Zoom – to consider prayerfully how we might pay closer attention to God’s presence and movement in our lives. Our last online retreat was on the topic of ‘Discernment and Decision Making.’ We’ll be continuing with some of the same themes here – you could think of it as ‘Part Two’! – but there’s definitely no need to have attended the last one in order to attend this one. It can be a standalone retreat for Lent.
And, finally, on Thursday 18th April, I’ll be breaking new (holy) ground with a retreat at St Columba’s House in Woking. If you’ve never been, St Columba’s is a wonderful retreat and conference centre, and offers the opportunity to step outside of the realms of our daily lives for just a while. Questions about God and suffering are always foremost in people’s hearts and minds, I find – as a priest and Spiritual Director – and so I thought it would be helpful for us to hold some space together, in which we can explore the landscape. Bookings aren’t open yet, but – by clicking on the here – you can secure a place for the other two retreats, and express an interest in the third.
Also there are two free spaces available on Saturday 2nd March, for those who might find the cost of the day prohibitive. If you – or someone you know – would like to have one of these free spaces, please get in touch with me directly to enquire, before clicking on the link below (first come, first served).
